Emerald Crown is an early to mid- maturing, very uniform, heavy- headed, domed variety with small beads on a small framed plant. Suggested planting in spring/fall. Resists purpling.

Avenger is an excellent choice for the crown cut and processing markets. It offers dome-shaped, tight, heavy, blue-green heads with short bracts, thick stems and very small beads. This variety has wide adaptability performing well in the U.S., Mexico and Guatemala.

Gypsy performs well under moderately warm conditions. A favorite of organic growers, Gypsy has a strong root system and intermediate downy mildew resistance.

An industry standard in broccoli, Marathon is widely adaptable. This variety has yielded outstanding results for fresh market and is a heavy yielder in the early and late season. Marathon has a high dome, small bead and heavy head.

One of our most widely-adapted, multi-use varieties. A summer into fall type which produces semi- domed, tight heads with medium- small bead size and a manageable plant habit.

One of our most widely-adapted varieties, Imperial is mid-maturing and heat tolerant, ideal for long-day conditions. It is multi-use, performing well for fresh eating and freezing. Keeps well after harvest.

Leaf attachments are small and lower on the stem, allowing for quick trimming and attractive, dense, superbly edible stems. Godzilla is ideal to plant for harvesting after Gypsy and Imperial are finished. Plants mature about 100 days from transplant.

Peppermint is in a class by itself. Its white petioles with pink stripes that form from bottom to top create a visual pop that will catch any eye. Plants have glossy, dark green, savoy leaves and show very high bolt tolerance. Peppermint is a perfect vegetable variety for fresh markets, home gardens and specialty markets and for adding to ornamental seed offerings in seed packet and plant programs. Rhubarb is a standard in red Swiss chard varieties. Our consistent, high quality strain produces rich, dark red petioles and dark green, savoy leaves. It has an upright plant habit for ease of harvesting and a moderate bolt tolerance. It is well suited for baby leaf, fresh market, and home gardens. Plants are large and robust.

Bred especially for baby leaf, Fire Fresh has bright red stems (petioles) that add bold color to greens mixes. The vivid green, crunchy leaves are round to oval and smooth, developing a slight texture as they age. Fast- growing plants have an upright habit that keeps the leaves clean for harvest. Fire Fresh is flexible, harvest at baby size or let grow and harvest at a more mature stage. Fire Fresh has high resistance to cercospora leaf spot and intermediate resistance to downy mildew race 1.

Celebration is a multi-colored chard. It is not a mix of different varieties, thus it exhibits highly uniform plants with dark green, glossy leaves and vibrant, multi-colored petioles. Celebration produces a high percentage of red, pink, yellow and orange stalks, with a small percentage of whites. Celebration is a great variety for fresh market growers, home gardeners and specialty markets.

Swiss Chard Fordhook Giant is a faster growing Swiss chard variety. It has white petioles with large, semi-savoy, green leaves. It is a bolt tolerant variety and has an upright plant habit. Fordhook Giant is the perfect choice for fresh market growers or home gardeners.

Eldorado is a bold, beautiful variety. It has unique, yellow-golden petioles paired with smooth, green leaves making it attractive for baby leaf, fresh market growers and home gardeners. Eldorado has an upright plant habit and a high bolt tolerance.

Silverado is a slower growing Swiss chard variety. It has nice, white petioles paired with dark green, glossy leaves. It is a perfect choice for any baby leaf or fresh market grower. Silverado is bolt tolerant and has an upright plant habit that is more compact than Fordhook Giant. Organic and non-organic seeds available.

Duquesa (Spanish for duchess), is true royalty among carrots. The crisp, blunt-tipped roots are full of flavor and can be used fresh, pickled or juiced. Duquesa, a Nantes type, has bright orange, cylindrical roots that measure 6"-7" long by approximately 1.5" wide at the crown. The high quality root interior stays firm without woodiness and upright tops are bright green and well attached, making harvest a breeze.

Triton is known for its superb taste and texture. Strongly attached, erect tops enable easier harvest of the extra-long roots (9-10 inches long and .5-1 inch in diameter.) Roots are medium-orange and cylindrical in shape with a semi-blunt tip.

Ingot is a long Nantes hybrid with both high color and flavor. It has received highest marks for its “sweet flavor and texture” in trial taste tests. Ingot is an ideal choice for home garden and specialty markets. Its high carotene levels of 120–170 ppm are evident in the deep exterior/ interior color.

This carrot is known for its nice uniform shape with strong tops. Fuerte offers high yields as well as blunt tip with some shoulder. The tops are tall and medium green in color. Roots are cylindrical in shape and medium orange in color. Fuerte is an excellent Nantes variety that compares favorably to other Nantes types.

Olympus is a cello-type that is outstanding for bunching. It has great color combined with a smooth finish. The taste is outstanding with a very crisp texture. Olympus is very uniform. Yield potential is high with this classy carrot.

Neptune Imperator carrot is a snap to grow and a treat to eat. The heavy roots average from 8-10 inches in length with a 1.6 inch shoulder and tapered shape, have bright orange color, and sweet flavor. Neptune matures early to mid-season but holds well until you harvest. Neptune works well in a variety of growing conditions.

All-America Selections award-winning Asian Delight pak choi is ready for harvest when you are with unmatched bolt tolerance and unique deep green ruffled leaves. The small to mid-size (5-7 inch) Canton type heads have a tasty, tender white rib and dark green, textured leaves. Asian Delight forms very tightly packed heads that are heavy for their mini size. Expect to begin harvest in about 30 days. Plants will hold for about 2-3 weeks after maturity.

Feng Qing Choi is a Shanghai type with a tight, vase-like shape, green petiole and a dark leaf color. This variety has excellent holding ability and uniformity and very high bolt resistance.

Li Ren Choi is an extremely attractive mini pak choi with light green stems and slightly darker green leaves. It develops a pak choi shape at a very early stage and can even be planted in trays and harvested at transplanting time. It is one of the smaller mini varieties on the market. Li Ren Choi is ideal for producing premium pak choi hearts.

This hybrid revolutionized the production of pak choi in North America by making it a reliable, easy crop to grow. Joi Choi develops heavy, large plants of excellent uniformity that are slow to bolt. Accepted nationwide as the standard industry variety.

An early-maturing, compact baby pak choi that is perfect for home gardeners and specialty growers. This dwarf Canton-type produces glossy, dark green leaves atop broad, milky white petioles. Harvest early, or as soon as buds begin to appear to avoid bolting. Tasty and attractive.

Mei Qing Choi is a Shanghai type with good heat and cold tolerance and bolting resistance. The uniform, medium-small plants maintain a tight vase-like shape and are popular for use as a baby pak choi. The green stems and leaves have has an excellent flavor and tender texture.

Large Marge tips the scales at a whopping 30-40 pounds! This extremely large variety has a deep orange, glossy exterior with a dark green, large, embedded handle to match the fruit size. Large Marge plants are full-vined and can set multiple fruits per plant and maintain size. The traditional blocky- round shape is perfect for carving or decorating. Plants mature in about 105 days.

The deep, vertical “wrinkled” ribs and burnt orange color make Mrs. Wrinkles a spooky attention grabber. Semi-determinate vines produce nice yields of blocky-round 14-18 pound pumpkins with thick flesh and durable rind. The hefty, strong handles are embedded well into the top of the fruit to prolong display.

Perfect for holiday decorating! This small, semi-hard shell variety is early maturing, yields a high number of tear-drop-shaped fruit on bush- type plants and has nice, embedded handles. Toad’s bright orange color and multiple bumps and warts truly give it unique character. Expect maturity in 85 days.

Jack Sprat is a kid-sized pumpkin with a semi-determinate, powdery mildew resistant vining plant. Fruits weigh in at 3 pounds and have a nice dark orange, lightly ribbed exterior, dark green embedded handles and small seeds. It sets a very high number of fruit per compact plant. Pumpkins measure 5" high by 6" wide.

Dark green handles set on deep orange miniature fruit give Kandy Korn Plus great eye appeal. Kandy Korn Plus sets a tremendous amount of fruit per plant on a bush vine which saves space and maximizes the yield per acre.

Pumpkin A beautiful, unique offering for the home garden and specialty markets. Our selection offers quality oval, flattened fruits with a creamy white rind and thick orange flesh. The flavor is sweet and eating quality is excellent. Fruits store well for long periods and their tough rinds make them able to be handled without blemishing.

An outstanding, well adapted AAS winner that performs well in a wide variety of conditions. Under mild climates, it may be sown in spring, summer and fall. The heads are large and slightly flat with a short core and dark green, crinkled leaves. A heavy yielder and good choice for eating raw or cooked.

Storage #4 is an excellent-yielding storage type with a nice dark green color. This versatile variety also works great in the late fall for fresh market, especially in muddy and rainy conditions. Due to its earliness when used for storage, we recommend later season plantings for best storage results.

SuperStar cabbage offers excellent quality, flavor, texture, and harvest flexibility. The solid, green, medium to large round heads are protected by a strong-framed plant and multiple wrapper leaves. SuperStar can be used fresh or for processing and has excellent holding ability in the field and after harvest. This great tasting cabbage is Fusarium yellows race 1 resistant and black rot tolerant. It matures in about 80 days.

Stonehead is an early, medium- headed variety with tip burn tolerance. It has a compact plant with gray-green head color. Stonehead is an AAS Award Winner noted for its wide adaptability and excellent flavor and texture.

First introduced in the US in 1967, Headstart is an example of Sakata’s 100+ years of venerable vegetable breeding. Headstart is quick to mature at 60-70 days from transplant. The bright green, round/slightly flattened heads are compact and heavy. The small to medium sized Copenhagen-Market type heads are best used fresh for slaw, sauerkraut, or slow cooking.
