Favas are a popular bean in the Mediterranean, where they are used both as a fresh shell bean or left on the plant to dry. Avenger is an excellent choice for the crown cut and processing markets. It offers dome-shaped, tight, heavy, blue-green heads with short bracts, thick stems and very small beads. This variety has wide adaptability performing well in the U.S., Mexico and Guatemala.

Gypsy performs well under moderately warm conditions. A favorite of organic growers, Gypsy has a strong root system and intermediate downy mildew resistance.

An industry standard in broccoli, Marathon is widely adaptable. This variety has yielded outstanding results for fresh market and is a heavy yielder in the early and late season. Marathon has a high dome, small bead and heavy head.

One of our most widely-adapted, multi-use varieties. A summer into fall type which produces semi- domed, tight heads with medium- small bead size and a manageable plant habit.

One of our most widely-adapted varieties, Imperial is mid-maturing and heat tolerant, ideal for long-day conditions. It is multi-use, performing well for fresh eating and freezing. Keeps well after harvest.

Stonehead is an early, medium- headed variety with tip burn tolerance. It has a compact plant with gray-green head color. Stonehead is an AAS Award Winner noted for its wide adaptability and excellent flavor and texture.

First introduced in the US in 1967, Headstart is an example of Sakata’s 100+ years of venerable vegetable breeding. Headstart is quick to mature at 60-70 days from transplant. The bright green, round/slightly flattened heads are compact and heavy. The small to medium sized Copenhagen-Market type heads are best used fresh for slaw, sauerkraut, or slow cooking.

Duquesa (Spanish for duchess), is true royalty among carrots. The crisp, blunt-tipped roots are full of flavor and can be used fresh, pickled or juiced. Duquesa, a Nantes type, has bright orange, cylindrical roots that measure 6"-7" long by approximately 1.5" wide at the crown. The high quality root interior stays firm without woodiness and upright tops are bright green and well attached, making harvest a breeze.

Triton is known for its superb taste and texture. Strongly attached, erect tops enable easier harvest of the extra-long roots (9-10 inches long and .5-1 inch in diameter.) Roots are medium-orange and cylindrical in shape with a semi-blunt tip.

Ingot is a long Nantes hybrid with both high color and flavor. It has received highest marks for its “sweet flavor and texture” in trial taste tests. Ingot is an ideal choice for home garden and specialty markets. Its high carotene levels of 120–170 ppm are evident in the deep exterior/ interior color.

This carrot is known for its nice uniform shape with strong tops. Fuerte offers high yields as well as blunt tip with some shoulder. The tops are tall and medium green in color. Roots are cylindrical in shape and medium orange in color. Fuerte is an excellent Nantes variety that compares favorably to other Nantes types.

Olympus is a cello-type that is outstanding for bunching. It has great color combined with a smooth finish. The taste is outstanding with a very crisp texture. Olympus is very uniform. Yield potential is high with this classy carrot.

Neptune Imperator carrot is a snap to grow and a treat to eat. The heavy roots average from 8-10 inches in length with a 1.6 inch shoulder and tapered shape, have bright orange color, and sweet flavor. Neptune matures early to mid-season but holds well until you harvest. Neptune works well in a variety of growing conditions.

Add cauliflower to your patio or balcony garden with container friendly White Corona! Ivory, 5" heads form on 12-14" plants. Plant 2-3 plants in a large container for best results. A highly popular Japanese slicing-type cucumber and a home garden industry standard. Exterior is dark green with shallow ridges and small white spines, while interior is crisp and white. Shikou is a hybrid Asian-type eggplant. The dark purple, glossy, elongated fruit measure 6-8 inches long by 1-1.5 inches wide, with a purple calyx (or stem), and tender, thin skin. Medium-sized plants are very attractive and productive, producing loads of lavender blooms followed by semi-spineless fruits that mature about 70-80 days from transplant. This beautiful watermelon represents our next generation of breeding! Secretariat is an early- maturing variety that is very high yielding. It offers a smooth, medium-green exterior with green stripes and has a nice round-oval shape. Interior characteristics include tiny pips and firm, crisp, deep red flesh.

Known for its great eating quality, Yellow Buttercup is a bright-yellow flesh seedless watermelon with crisp texture and sweet flavor. The 14-16 pound fruit are round-oval in shape and have dark green stripes on a light green background. Plant with a pollenizer. Choosing a pollenizer that we have developed, like ‘Ace’, has shown to provide better yield and quality results.

Belmont is our first variety in a new generation of small-sized seedless watermelons. It is a perfect fit for the fridge at only 6-8 pounds. The deep red flesh is very sweet and juicy and has a pleasantly firm texture.
